Serving

All positions at Hope UCC are staffed by volunteers except the minister. There is a wide variety of opportunities in which to participate. Some of these are below.

Contact about service opportunities

  • Lay Readers

    Lead the congregation in reading parts of the morning worship liturgy and scripture

  • Flower Gardeners

    Help care for the Meditation Garden and flowerbeds around the church building.

  • Fellowship of Hope Members

    Meet monthly to coordinate worship and social activities, furnish refreshments as needed, and coordinate service projects including the semi-annual rummage sales.

  • Visitation Team

    Ensure our shut-ins are remembered and loved.

  • Nursery Care Givers

    For children under the age of six years during the morning worship service.

  • Potluck Dinner Coordinators

    Be sure the serving table is prepared, to see that drinks are available, and to assist with special arrangements as needed.

  • Members of Task Forces

    Currently being formed–The Vital Vintage Church Group (setting goals for the church) and The Worship Team (facilitating details for special worship services).

  • Worship Assistants

    Prepare communion, to prepare video slides/displays complementing worship services, and to furnish special vocal or instrumental music.
